Van de Mierop Farm is a family-owned business that focuses on efficient and future-oriented operations. The company is constantly seeking ways to work more sustainably and better manage its energy consumption. This project focuses on optimizing the farm\u2019s own energy supply.<\/p>\n

Problem statement<\/h3>\n

The farm has 60\u202fkWp of solar panels, but due to highly variable and difficult-to-predict energy consumption, much of the production cannot be used at the right time. As a result, valuable solar power is lost or must be fed back into the grid at low rates. The key challenge is: how can the farm store its own green energy and use it during peak demand periods, reducing dependence on the grid and maximizing the use of available solar power?<\/p>\n

Solution by EcoSourcen<\/h3>\n

Until recently, the farm was fully dependent on electricity from the grid. Rising energy costs, unpredictable prices, and limited self-generation made this dependence increasingly problematic. A solution was urgently needed to provide the farm with greater stability, lower costs, and a sustainable energy supply.<\/p>\n
